A True Blessing

With Love 

It's been just over a year now that one of my dearest friends moved to Las Vegas and got married to the most wonderful man! They really are a beautiful couple and I wish them all the happiness in the world! Even though I haven't met her partner, I can say that he is a very kind, generous guy who will take good care of my best friend and love her more as every day passes! (otherwise some serious butt kicking is in order ^^.) 

It has been very hard to not have her here by my side. I remember the first time I met her, at work, I thought she was the cutest living lil china doll ever!! Although we talked and got along very well at work we never really got that close! It was after I left work that we formed our real friendship, and soon after that Emyli left for Vegas! It might sound weird to some but even though we didn't spend a lot of time together, there was a bond between us that was very strong. We are very similar, both Cancerians, have a passion for beauty and fashion, we are both very very loving and generous people, both of us are artistic, both like Kpop (anyone who knows me knows how much of a role this plays in my life), both try and remain positive in dire situations, I mean the list can go on and on and on.

At the age of 6 years old, my only dream was to be able to be a princess and wear a dress as those I had seen on the Disney Princesses! (Pretty good darn dream if you ask me). So I attempted to draw a picture of myself wearing the dress I wanted. Needless to say, when I look back on that drawing 1) It doesn't look anything like me - I gave myself blonde hair ¬_¬, 2) It didn't look anything like a Disney princess dress :( haha. It was a long red dress with a slit on one side of it :) Since that day I haven't stopped trying to re-create the dress I envisioned I would wear if I were a Disney princess!

In my last year at London College of Fashion, I decided that I would attempt a wedding dress! I wanted it to be big and loud! I drew inspirations from the Ottoman Era, and focused on the Turkish Turbans:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I love Christmas day. My family don't actually celebrate it, but we always make an effort for others around us. The Christmas spirit is infectious, last night on Christmas eve I went for a late night walk and anybody and everybody I saw, wished me a Merry Christmas. A driver even rolled down his window and shouted Merry Christmas! It's the season where everyone is in a better mood and I honestly wish people would be like this all year round.

I never expect any presents but receiving them from those I love is an amazing feeling, especially when you see what they buy you is something personal and thoughtful. More than receiving presents, I much rather prefer giving them. I love buying/making people presents. When I see the smile on their faces it makes me the happiest person alive!

I hope that all of you are by now rolling around fat on the floor from the amount of food you have consumed and your glasses never short of drink! May your households be filled with laughter and merriment and I sincerely hope that you have all had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
